Parting out this jazz bass I got awhile back. I currently have three jazz basses and I'm a P-bass guy. This, combined with the fact that I also have about 9 basses plus guitars, mandolins, banjos, and ukes, means that I've got to get rid of some stuff.

I'd be interested in other bass parts for trade or some cool pedals. I could use a distortion pedal. Preference to people who want to buy the loaded body or loaded neck. It saves me trips to the post office.

The body and neck are of unknown manufacture but are of good quality. I gigged this as a complete set up for maybe a month or so before swapping out the neck for a 1.75" P-bass neck since I'm more comfortable on bigger necks personally. Then this bass went into the closet to be forgotten about for awhile. However I've already started moving by stuff to Queens and its obvious I can't take it all with me. I've got over a dozen instruments and a bunch of huge amps. None of this is going to fit, so I've put some stuff up on TB.

The body I was told was Fender. I don't know how to identify it, but its a similar blue color to those old MIM basses. I think the color was agave blue. This shade is slightly different than what I remember though. The neck I stuck on it was from an MIJ Fender 57RI P-bass and it fit no problem.
I don't know how to identify it so I'm selling this as just a nice jazz body.

I think this body is finished in lacquer instead of poly. There is a slight checking and crazing in the finish that you can't see from a foot away but its there. All of my lacquer guitars that are with me have this due to the crappy insulation of my cardboard house. You can't feel it, since these are little micro-cracks, but they're there if you look hard enough. No dings or dents worth mentioning. A few bumps but nothing through the clear coat. Selling for $110 shipped.

The body is loaded up with DiMarzio Jazz bass pickups. I'm not sure which kind. I'd be happy to pull them out if someone thinks they can identify them. If it helps, they don't have adjustable pole pieces. Judging by the logo, they are the Area J pickups. I originally thought they were Ultra Jazz pickups (had them in an old bass) but the logo is on the bottom of the pickup cover instead of the side. Either way they sounded great and are totally quiet! Selling for $75 shipped

The wiring harness is standard VVT. There are DPDT switches on it but I don't remember if they're hooked up. I think they are but its been so long. Also my amp head is in a moving box somewhere and this would also require me tossing on a set of strings on this thing. Selling this with control plate and screws for $23 shipped

I was told that the bridge was Gotoh. Its a slotted barrel type bridge and works fine. $20 shipped.

I will sell the entire loaded body for $180 shipped.

If you noticed, I didn't list the pickguard. If no one buys this bass body as the whole enchilada, I'll save this pickguard to use on my 70s Jazz classic.

About the color of the body---could it be Lake Placid Blue? Computer screens and camera lenses can do a lot of tricks!

Yeah, I'm always down with trades so long as its not another bass!

I could do with a knock around banjo, ukulele, autoharp, etc. I'd say a cheap mandolin, but my experience with cheap mandos has been awful!

In terms of bass trades I'm looking for pedals. A distortion pedal is high on my list. So is the VT Bass and other character pedals. Could do with a Korg pitchblack. DI boxes. You get the gist. If its something weird I might still be interested in it so long as its not a chorus pedal. I have enough of those. I might also be interested in a fretless bass neck so long as it'll fit a Roadworn P-bass.

For non bass trades, I could use a leather motorcycle jacket or a nice pair of sunglasses. My jacket size is 44R.

I'm interested. Shoot me a PM. It might be a few days until I can get back to you though. We've been preparing for a hurricane at work and I'm working off my phone in a building with walls 8 feet thick. I'm also running low on my data plan. Eek!
