Picked this up as part of a trade with a fellow Dallas TB member. Mr. Champagne, I'm stealing your thread lol :)

Near mint example of a Hector Montes (Fender CS builder renowned in the guitar world for his Clapton and SRV signatures) built 1992 '57 RI. All original minus the ashtrays. Currently has a Klein pickup installed. The Klein is a little more fullrange and clear compared to the original. I do have the original pickup. Cash is king, but I'm open to a trade for the right STINGRAY.

I'm now touring with a killer 80's show band so I'm looking to trade for one of the following:

STEINBERGER / KUBICKI / STINGRAY in cool colors. No sunburst offers please. looking for a straight up trade.

Do you have any paper-work showing bass was built by Hector Montes ?

The bass is an AVRI built by Hector. It has his stamp in the pocket. This was built by him before his move to the custom shop but the quality of this specific bass compared to others I have played (same model and year) shows exactly why he is now a CS builder.

Scored a KILLER Hamer Impact bass in what I'm told from a Rep friend of mine was never offered so he's pretty sure it's a one off.
Very cool Black / Gold Foil finish.
