My hobbies have changed as I’ve gotten older, and I’m just not playing my bass guitars anymore, so I’ve decided it’s time to try and find them a new home.

This one is a Sadowsky, Standard 4, Caramel Burst with chrome hardware that I purchased from Roger back in 2001 while I was living in the Vacaville, CA. This became my main bass after I retired my Tobias to the home studio. This bass is sonically unsurpassed, and stays in tune better than other bases that I have owned.

Price is [DEL]$3220[/DEL] $2590 shipped CONUS. Includes the original case, and all accompanying manuals. I prefer US Postal Money Order but I’ll also take PayPal. Sorry, but no trades.

This Sadowsky is off to its new home! Sold to a great local guy, who will give it the playing time it deserves. :bassist:

Glad to see there are some other "NYC Bass" players here on the West Coast BluesyCat.

Added a couple of thumbnails to go with the price reduction.

I've received a couple of questions on this bass that I thought I'd share as "additional information" to help people inform their purchase decision.

I'm the original owner, and I purchased it on-line from the factory - Roger himself answered the phone when I called to inquire about the bass. Price at that time (Feb of 2001) was $3050+$80 for shipping. It was worth every penny! Information on the invoice is (#3524, Std. 4, Q top, Caramel B., chrome, case).

I played the instrument primarily between 2001-2003. Post 2003 my interest was gravitating back toward upright, so she hasn't had a lot of play since. No damage or problems of any kind.

Hope this helps.

It's a beauty! To additionally aid in your sale, you may consider describing its cosmetic condition and what it weighs.

Thanks "spiritbass"! Following up on your advise, here's some additional info.

Cosmetically, the instrument has no blemishes, dings or scratches of any kind anywhere on it. The finish looks pristine, just like it did when I first opened the case over 11 years ago, and the chrome still shines.

The bass weighs in at 7.0 lbs (by difference, bathroom scale).

Hope this helps.

Another suggestion is to join the Sadowsky bass owners group on Facebook. And put up a post there. Never mind, I just posted it!
