I'm continuing the great gear purge of 2012. This time it's my Eminence 4-string removable-neck bass. I have used this bass extensively for national and international touring and it has always been a great-sounding and reliable instrument. It is in perfect working order with no issues, but, as you might expect, there are few small nicks in the finish and scratches on the plating that covers the endpin. I have replaced the tuners with Hipshot tuners (at Gary Bartig's suggestion) for better performance and durability. It has the usual Realist pickup, which is still 100% functional. After playing the bass for about a year, I took it to Williams Fine Violins here in Nashville for a setup. While at the shop, Dustin Williams did extensive work on the nut and planed fingerboard. After all that work, this is the best playing Eminence that I have encountered, you can get the action nice and low with no rattles. I'm including the soft gig bag, the soft neck case and an SKB golf club case with a TSA-compliant lock and wheels for rolling. I'm reluctant to sell this bass, but it doesn't fit in my current playing situations and it should go to a home where it will be played.
