I have a restored 1992 1540 I need to trade or sell. When I bought it it had a blown 15 and torn up tolex. Its been recovered and has a new grill frame/cloth, cups, and corners. Ive also added recessed spring loaded handles on the bottom to help with loading it.
I replaced the switch, wich was broken off, and resistors on the attenuator. I mounted an NOS OEM 15 in in and tuned the ports using Winisd (to my ability). The ports arent set as I was going to try different lengths so you still can if needed. Its well known Ampeg didnt tune these at the factory.
I have the logo plate but its not shown in the pic.
I have about $500 into it so thats what Id like to get back.
Id trade toward a white CIJ 70's pbass with the maple neck with blocks. I'd consider trading toward other p-basses that have a heel truss rod adjustment. Id trade for a nice 1.6" "B" size precision neck.
Otherwise Ive got an idea to make a coffee table out of this. ;-)
