4-string Ibanez SoundGear SR-600 with semi-transparent magenta finish. Bartolini MK-1 pups.

The good: This bass is only a few months old, and has seen very little play. The hardware, neck, and electronics are minty fresh, like new, just like you'd find them hanging on the wall at the music store.
The iffy: This came from the factory with a clear finish on the ash body. The original owner carefully painted over it with a transparent, semi-gloss finish that I will say is somewhere between red and magenta. My pictures make it look darker, and closer to red, than it appears to my naked eye.
Although the paint job is not what I'd call professional, it looks pretty good, particularly the front. The back has a few small flaws - if you're looking for them, you can spot a few paint runs and a mark or two. A thin brushing of paint ended up on the battery cover, and you can see a little of the original blonde color in the jack indent where the paint stops about 1/16" short of the jack, but it appears that the neck and all other hardware were removed before the body was painted.
There are a few small nicks in the paint - a couple around the tone control knobs, a couple more on the back of the bass horn, and a bump next to one of the neck screws on the back of the body.
Full disclosure: I don't hear any difference between the two positions on the toggle switch (I think it's supposed to be a mid-scoop, but I'm not sure).
Everything is stock except the finish on the body.
I'm busy trying to get up to speed on the fretless, and this Ibby with her slim, fast neck is not getting the love she deserves.
I will try to post more pictures and specs over the weekend.

I sort of need to thin the herd here, but if you offer something tasty enough, I may succumb to the temptation to trade. For starters, I find wood-grain in general, and hippy-sandwich designs in particular, very tasty. Fretless basses are of interest, as are Japanese basses from the 1970s and early 80s (Aria Pro II, Kawai, Ibanez, Vantage, Westone, Morris, Ovation Magnum, etc.).
