This is a trade feeler to see what American Jazz Basses are out there. This P was picked up here on TB a year or two ago; that sale thread can be viewed here: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=819602
I love this bass to death, but an upcoming elbow surgery is going to make a P neck a bit painful for me to play, so I'm seeking an American Jazz (Fender only/4-string only) in trade for this beauty.
As for the bass:
- 1983 American Fender Precision neck - "C" profile
- 1995 American Fender Precision body
- Reverend P pickup
- It plays perfectly with low action, no fret buzz, lots of fret material left and no neck issues.
- The look is pure, natural mojo!
- This is the only P made in the last 30 years that I've played that ACTUALLY SOUNDS LIKE the '60's and '70's P's that I grew up listening to.
- The Hipshot D-tuner was removed. It now wears a matching set of Fender tuners.
- The anodized pickguard was sold. A genuine black Fender pickguard was put in its place.
- The chrome pickup and bridge covers are included, along with the thumb rest.
- Currently wearing 45-105 Elixirs
- Includes hard "soft case"
