SOLD

Selling my NYC Sadowsky 24F4 Prototype built in 2007 by Lisa Hahn. Not happy about this as I love the tone of the switchable Nordstrand Fat Stacks and Sadowsky Preamp combination, weight and body shape - but the neck profile just isn't for me :(

But my loss, is your gain :)

The bass is in excellent shape and set up with low action with EB Cobalts 45-105.

There are two very minor dings (not through the finish) on the body and one on the headstock that were there when I bought it. I'll give it a 9+ due to the dings and I mention them only in the spirit of full disclosure as I've received a bass or two where the seller did not mention dings or other "mojo."

Also comes with the original Sadowsky ultralight case which has no wear or signs of use. As mentioned in the description below from the Sadowsky site this bass was a closet dweller and spent a short time with one owner before I bought it from a dealer. I don't think it saw much stage time if any.

Description from the Sadowsky website:

COMMENTS: Circa January 2007. Here is an early prototype of our 24F4. It's in near mint condition as it was only used for our R&D. Although it has spent most of its life in our storage closet, it does have one very small ding (not through finish) on the underside of the lower knee rest area (you might not have even found it if I didn't tell you). Push/pull pot on the Fat Stacks allows switching between single coil and humcancelling.

I actually had to swallow twice from my mouth watering in response to seeing this beautiful bass!

The metallic black body, black hardware, and maple neck/fretboard w/black dots is pure sexy looking!

Free bump, and GLWTS!

Thanks SactoBass, thought you might like the looks of this one ;)

I had the pleasure of playing this instrument before it was purchased by Kinetic Shadow. One of the lightest Sado's I've ever played. Excellent action and the Nordstrands are to die for. Wish I had the scratch. Maybe if someone buys my Amplitube gear and Aguilar DB750 listed here, maybe ... just maybe.

bigtexashonk speaks the truth. It is extremely light, but feels solid and well constructed. I am planning another bass that will use Norstrand Fat Stacks - just amazing.

Thanks G. Curator? I like it, but also a conservator as well :D

super bass - super seller!

Thanks Tom, much appreciated.

The info on the Sadowsky site doesn't include details on the preamp. Is it a good assumption that 1) it has the Sadowsky preamp (likely), and 2) it has the VTC with pull-passive on that control? I'm guessing based on the cavity picture that the switch between SC and HC for the fat stacks is on the volume control (right?).

Yes, yes and yes :)

It really is one of the most versatile sounding basses I've ever owned. And if you really want to "own," the Fat Stacks on full - just blow the roof of the house.

Is the feel of the neck more like that of a Fender Jazz or Precision or possibly a Warwick (which tend to be chunkier from front to back). ?

I'm a little lost in trying to imagine the feel of a 12" radius. Fab bass by the way. Hoping you can help.

Mark
