It's with a heavy heart that I have decided to sell my '82 Ibanez Musician. I bought it about a year ago, shipped over from Japan to the UK.

It comes with it's original hard case and Ibanez Limited Warranty Card, signed and dated for June 1982.

The electronics are all in top condition and haven't been tampered with or even looked at since I got it. There are a couple of tiny dinks on the top edge of the body (see the pictures) but nothing in any way derogatory to the appearance or playing of the bass. For something that's near on 31 years old it's in peak condition.

The bass strings were new a year ago and I haven't played it much, so they are still fairly fresh. The sound is great, it has a P/J pickup configuration, with a blend, volume and master tone knobs and a passive/active switch which engages a 3 band EQ (bass, mid, treble).

I'm shipping within the UK only and shipping is likely to cost between 40-60 depending on where you are, but I cant guarantee that until I know where it's going. I am also happy to drive a reasonable distance from Worthing, UK to drop off the bass.

The price I am asking for is £750 and I am open to sensible offers.

Oh and I'm open to trading (+/- relative cash), but am only interested in 4 strings, specifically Ibanez ATKs or an Epiphone Ripper (Gibson Grabber, anything similar, you get the idea). I'm quite fussy but open to most things.

I have an 83 MC824DS with the same body color. Although mine is a single pick up it sounds amazing. I bet with the active electronics it really sounds great. Good luck!
