Up for grabs. All original, tuners, strap tree, finish. I just don't have the patience to wait for the right body to come along. I picked this up as a whole bass off of CL about 6 months ago. Seller had it advertised as a fender USA Jazz 1989. Once I got it home and did the research/checked the neck date code. I soon realized that the body was a Squier or Mexican jazz from the early 2000's attached to a 83 AVRI neck. I kept the neck and sold the body thinking I could find a replacement fullerton and have a nice Fullerton Re-Issue someday.
The neck is dated 1-21-83 The neck plate has a serial number V004XXX along with some other numbers etched into the plate. It looks like a Property ID number that a police department or pawn shop might use to record property, maybe a school in NY. I don't know. Makes for an interesting story though.
Neck is straight the truss rod turns and has tension, frets are in good condition, the finish has aged and turned its orange tinge like most Fenders do. No cracking or checking in the finish. Minor dings in the headstock. Tuners are the reverse typical for this era.
Asking $575 shipped Conus. Would like to move this quickly, CASH only as I have many other instruments and need to cover some unexpected expenses. Paypal preferred.
