I got this bass in a trade earlier this year and I LOVE the way it plays and the tones are MWAH! My band-mates do not dig the way it looks, and my Dolphins get all the playing time. SO! For your consideration I offer up this Black Beauty from 2010 NAMM. It's a Brubaker KXB-5 Standard in Flat Black with Chrome Hardware. The bass is all Maple, and the fingerboards are Stained and given a "Milkyway" finish. The electronics are proprietary Brubaker/Bartolini with Bartolini soapbar pickups. The bass weighs in at just under 10 Lbs on my Bathroom scale, and she balances perfectly sitting or standing. For HOURS! Oh, this bass was featured in the 2012 Guitar and Bass Player Summer Gear Guide! Yes this actual bass. A copy is included in the OHSC with other Case Candy, tools, etc... Pics!
Controls are Blend, Push/Pull Treble/Mid Boost, Stacked Treble/Bass and Push/Pull Vol Active/Passive. The Toggle give HB/HB SC/HB or SC/SC pickup configurations. Great Tones!

I value this bass at $2500. I'm looking primarily for a Trade, but if you want to buy it outright we may be able to work on the price. A little!
Trade-wise, I'm looking for Fretted 5-Strings. Sadowsky, Zon, Modulus, Warwick, F-Bass, Alembic, etc... will get my attention. The RIGHT Vintage Fender will as well. I'd LOVE a Nice Telecaster! But a great P-Bass or Jazz might get some love as well. I will be fairly picky. And if you offer a bass worth $1500 expect to make up the difference somehow. Please PM offers.
