With regret, I'm offering my Jackstadt bass up for sale. My musical focus has changed, and reality has not: despite what I want, I'm just not tall enough to play what I want on this cannon (translation: I need a smaller bass).
Here's the vital stats:
Double Bass by Albert Jackstadt, #48, 1998
41.75 string length, D neck
20 Upper Bout
28 Lower Bout
15 Middle Bout
Rib Depth at block: 7
Rib Depth: 9
Price is $21,000. Bass would do very well with a C extension; Im just not a fan. Tremendous Orchestra Bass and Solo Bass (if youre a bit taller than me!). Mooradian Bag included.
