FYI- I own an Ampeg Baby Bass. I took the pickup plate out and had a luthier make a wooden plate and cut a wooded bridge (special mod on the feet). I use an underwood pickup. I sounds great. These basses are small and light. Latin and blue grass players would love this setup. Sometimes I use a Fishman PreAmp. I have had it since the 90's. Love this bass. Just saying!
