I love, love, love, this bass.
I am finding no interest in some other of my listings, so when you need cash, you sell stuff you may regret later.
Priced at $850 shipped within North America. No shipping outside of North America, sorry. Trade interest limited to 4-string P-basses with jazz-width necks and 5string EBMMs. Any non-EBMM 5-strings need to be 34" scale.
This bass is from the first-year of manufacture, 2003. Some would view that as important (not me). Fans of the Bongo view the single H version as a "secret weapon". Once you put the H in the Stingray sweet-spot, paired with a 4-band 18v pre-amp, and include the superior comfort and ergonomics of the Bongo, you have a real winner. There is no passive option here, this is 100% in-your face, active bass.
So for a 10-year old bass, that has passed thru several owners, its been remarkably well cared for. It has the typical bongo headstock ding (they ARE cymbal magnets, after all), and some minor scratches, but its really in good shape for a 10-year old.
Neck is super shiny from play, and very comfy. Currently sporting flatwound strings, which is what I prefer, and comes with a non-EBMM hardshell case that is patterned after the original EBMM hardshell case.
