For sale is a Sterling by Musicman Ray34. The bass is in very good condition. It has been played out and has a couple of little scratches and "finish dents". Nothing i can get to show up very well in a pic though. The only bigger ding is on the end of the head stock and is pictured, damn ceiling fans. The ding is only in the finish and can not be seen while playing. This bass been upgraded to a nordstand MM 4.2 pickup and to seymour duncan 2 band electronics with a pull pot for a mid shift. The bass plays extremely well. Honestly with the upgrades it plays and sounds as good as the US classics i've played. The neck is really cool on this one. I've alway thought of stingrays as having a more P-bass type neck, but this one definitely has a jazz feel. Slender at the nut, and very fast. If this bass were a 5er i keep it, but i just don't end up playing 4's enough to justify it. Asking $550 shipped to the continental US.

It's a high gloss neck, but a very nice feeling one. It doesn't have that "sticky" feeling that some of the 70's fenders do.

Surprised this is still here! Had one of these and it was tough to tell the difference sometimes between it and my stingray! Someone scoop this up

If this is the Classic version, which I think it is based on the glossy neck, then the neck definitely has more of a J profile.
