I bought this neck for a project that I've lost interest in completing, so I now have no use for it.

This Warmoth neck is one piece maple with a rosewood fingerboard and cream face dots, has a Jazz Bass nut width, graphite bars (not the usual steel bars Warmoth typically use), narrow (6230 I believe?) stainless frets, Hipshot USA light tuners, a clear semi gloss finish and a Fender Jazz decal. It's in great shape with no issues.

some smart and polite fellow tb'ers have informed me this neck has steel reinforcements and not graphite as i thought, and marked by the st stamp.

note this neck is lighter than my warmoth fretless neck i also have for sale, tho i don't know if that's because the fretless neck has an ebony fretboard and different tuners.

sorry for the misinformation!

I ask because I just bought one with a 'G', and it has the light weight to bear that out. That's all.

Where is the G?

The handwriting is SS6230 WC which means stainless steel (SS) frets size 6230 (vintage frets) (WC) white corian nut.

If there is a G stamped on it, it should have the graphite rods. I was just trying to clarify that ST does not mean steel rods. It sounded like someone had told the original poster that ST meant steel rods. I could be interpreting that wrong. If so, I apologize.

Burned into the back of the heel, not handwritten. Do not wish to remove neck currently, but I guarantee it's there, because I remembered this exchange and looked for it.

I just had a neck that was a slim taper with graphite rods. It had a "G" and "ST" stamped on it.(see pic)

Makes sense to me. Totally consistent with my recent experience. However, what exactly does 'slim taper' refer to?
