This instrument is a late 1800's 7/8th size string bass in very good condition. Origin of bass has been attributed to an unknown maker in Germany. I purchased this bass from David Gage's shop in 2007 because of its deep fundamentals and clear, singing upper register. It has been a delight to own for the past few years and I regret to have to sell, but circumstances(a new baby girl!) require me to downsize. Asking price is $14,000 OBO.
