A great preamp. The only one I've ever found with a hi-pass filter and a low-pass filter instead of a crossover. You can make both cabs sound just right. Even if you don't want to bi-amp its a steal. It has a fully parametric EQ. You can zero in on a trouble spot and kill it, or bump up a sweet spot just right. You have to be able to deal with the passive Fender-style EQ though, but that's easy, treble at 2, Mids at 9 and Bass at 3 works for me.

I've owned two or three of these. Hard to get a bad tone out of them.

Sorry the thread isn't loading. If you want to see pics, please go to craigslist/SF-Bay Area/musical instruments and search for Yamaha preamp. It's not the prettiest, but when racked it should look okay. Works fine.
