If you go onto the Carvin website and look under the Guitar Parts link you will find the Bass Bridges section. The Carvin standard 6-string bridge since 2006 has been a .640" string-spacing Hipshot. This translates to 16.256mm spacing, which is considered fairly tight by most standards. But you can get used to anything if you really like the way the bass sounds.

I think it's a beautiful bass that is being offered here. When Ray Vogt was up here in Chicago a couple of years ago I took a real nice lesson with him and I also got to play his Carvin Icon 6's and they definitely felt like top-notch basses.

also looks like he has the piezo electronics installed.. i have an Icon 4 and the build is great.. had some issues with the preamp and the factory pickups and carvin sent me upgraded pickups at NC which fixed the problem so I would take a hard look at this Carvin!!

Do they have the asymmetrical neck profile on the 6 strings? My icon 5 has it, thing plays like butter and has equally awesome tone
