Amazing custom short scale (31") Birdsong 5 string bass. This Hy 5 has tons of upgrades. (These start at $2300 with basic woods). This bass has a spanish cedar body (sounds like mahogany, but it is lighter), a macassar ebony top and matching headstock, 2 Kent Armstrong soapbar Pickups. Scott (owner of Birdsong) also made custom made pickup covers and matching knobs for this bass with the ebony and spanish cedar. I believe the bass is 8.5 pounds. I will verify later. He named this bass the "eclipse bass". It is featured on the website. Strung B - G. Sounds good as E-C as well. This would be over $3,000 new.
