The original commissioned bass made by Rod at Regenerate Guitar works. It was made for Chef (of this forum) in 2006 and was owned by him and one other TB'er before it came to me a little over a year ago.

'51 Precision Reissue 5 string
Very true to 51 form, preamp aside, and about the only way to get an early P headstock and 5 strings...
Built by Rod at Regenerate Guitar works; and the bass that inspired his Heritage line.
Warmoth wood parts,
hipshot ultralight clover leaf tuners and hipshot vintage plate quick-load bridge,
Dunlop strap locks
Custom made Nordstrand 51SCPB5 single coil neck pickup wound to SD SCPB3 specs and,
wound to match Big Single bridge pickup;
Sadowsky preamp setup vol/passive tone stack, blend, treble/bass stack.
Vintage tinted neck maple neck and f/b, vintage stainless frets, beautifully grained blonde ash body.
I have a 'period correct' Precision headstock sticker I've never applied to complete the look...
Bridge and body support string thru bridge, or, string thru body.
~10lbs of crushing single coil P bass tone, plus the baddest bridge bark you can lay hands on!
