ESP 400 Series P Bass

These are hard to find. You see a few J basses but the P's are rare. Made in the mid-80's, these are a copy of Pre-CBS Fender classics. My P is modeled after a '57 P Bass and it feels like a nicely worn in bass.

It has some nicks on the back of the neck and the body. This bass has been played because it sounds so good. It is all original except an added string tree and a new bridge. I put a new hipshot bridge on it roughly 6 months ago but will include the original bridge with the sale. The volume pot is a little scratchy but I will blast it with some Deoxit before shipping.

Strung with brand new LaBella rounds and comes in a nice The Bass Place gig bag.

You won't find a higher quality, better-playing bass for five hundred bucks! The 400 Series are gems.

100% believer in this statement! I fell in love with the 400 Series about 6 years ago. I've owned 4 of them, two P's and two J's. Excellent build quality and attention to detail.

This body is a 2 piece body of alder...hard to find today.

How are the frets?
Any ruts or flat spots?

Frets are in good shape and at about 75-80%. There are a few small digs in the frets on the E string side but they are not noticeable and are a part of the fret wear. Nothing out of the ordinary.

It has been string with frets until very recently and I put LaBella rounds on the bass for a different flavor.

I had an ESP MIJ p bass similar to this but the headstock was "tele"style, robin egg blue with a pearloid pickguard and a Lindy Fralin p'up... I traded it to Hirsch at Daddy's Junky Music almost 20 years ago & have been looking for it ever since! If I can sell a bike this is mine! Bump for a classic
