I have used these for a few years now and they sound great. Plenty of wire left for most basses. They work just fine and show some wear.

i'm not sure-i haven't used those. but i can say that these pickups sound more like a traditional P pickup than say a dimarzio model P or split P. I really like the blade design-if you bend notes at all there is no volume shift. it's smooth. I used these in an alder/maple short scale SX and they totally made that bass shine.
