I recently received word from Pete Skjold that if this bass were ordered today, it would cost $4500 to $5000.

Could you please give a quick run down of the pre. This is a stunning looking bass!

Sure, Juddy! The top 3 knobs are volume, tone control with 4 notch settings (runs the pickups in parallel/series modes), and a tone control that works in active or passive mode (pull for passive mode). The bottom two knobs are stacked bass/treble (with pull high treble) and stacked mid/mid sweep control. (I believe I got all that right.) All this gives you TONS of tonal options.

I'm receiving some nice trade offers, but some cash offers would be welcome, too! ;)

I've owned fretless basses by Zon and Roscoe. Many people say that these are the best fretless basses available. How does this one stand up to those? Honestly, because of the incredibly versatile preamp, I truly believe the Skjold edges them out. Of course, this is my opinion, and I really love Zon and Roscoe basses too!

I posted some new pics. I noticed in the new pics that there is a reflection of the side of my house on the bass. Not good. I'll try to take some more.
