Edit for Price - Having a quick search in the forums, $4000 + shipping seems fair.

For Sale: My pride and joy!

I've decided to let go of my much loved Trace Elliot V8.

I don't need to say much, you all know how rare etc.. this amp is.

Its been so long since I've lurked/played/been a full gear head so I'm not sure how much to put it up for!

It has been serviced about 1 month ago and has only ever been used on half power since I have owned it due to the high power output it has.


Its in good condition and sounds great!

:D - I meant what I said. $850 would most definitely lead to a quick sale!

I'm too far away, and don't play out enough to make this worth my while, but hope that somebody will get this amazing piece of engineering excellence out in front of a crowd.

How many of these were made? Did any well-known bass players use them?

The records are long gone but apparently somewhere between 75-80 were built and even that's up for debate. Entwhistle had one but not sure if he used it. Sting supposedly had one but again, not sure if it's true or if his ever hit a stage.

Entwhistle had 2 and one of those 2sold at Christies auction for $1200 in 2010 :) I been lurking the v8s for awhile I have a v6

Yes it is thanks again I love the v6 I paired it with a ampeg heritage 4x10 it sounds amazing! I'll always be prowling the v8s aswell kinnda want to get the v4 v6 and v8 all under one roof :)
