Moving really sucks but guess what I literally found under my bed!
Up for grabs is a 1967-1971 Fender Jazz Bass Case. It will also fit a precision but if you look at the pics this one has the "framing and support" for the Jazz offset body. See the pics and the curvature of the inside. I didn't know there was a difference until today when my buddy gave me some history on dating Fender cases
To the best of my ability, I am dating this as a 1967-1971 per the web link below. If my dating is off please chime in
"About 1967: Still used the black tolex case, but now the case exterior has a plastic Fender logo with a "tail" under the "Fender"."
http://home.provide.net/~cfh/fender.html#cases
The case is (of course) in used condition and as you can see from the pics has some spotting inside and minor scrapes/tears on the tolex. Latches and spring work more smoothly than I do but there is no key.
Before hanging out under my bed I was told it had been stationed under the childhood bed of a guitarist that at one time wanted to play bass. The instrument and I parted ways long ago but I kept the case.
This will be a short sale as I am moving in a few days and would rather not drag this with me.
I'm asking $175 plus shipping OR Best Offer. I will also take a J-retro in trade
Enjoy!
