Sound wise: P bass but bigger and deeper, as the pickup is slightly toward the neck. I describe it as sounding as much like a 5 string as you can get with 4. Also, if you have found that bridge pickups are often wimply, try a P in that postion. Of course, hum cancelling in all positions.
