SOLD Well I started cannibalizing my fretless project to the point of no return. So Im selling the semi-loaded body and neck. She's a looker all dressed up...


BODY: Warmoth Alder Jazz 4lb 10oz (5lb after finish and copper shielding) with custom Pat Wilkins finish. The color is similar to Shoreline Gold but more of a copper color (with more reds than yellows). Pat did an amazing job matching my color sample. The body is in excellent condition. There are 4 small chips on the back and a few minor dents, nothing major, normal wear. It was hard to show in pics with my phone.

Loaded with:
Gotoh 201 bridge,
Warmoth Tort pickguard and screws,
Warmoth Neckplate with pad and screws.
Copper shielded/ soldered (includes shielded tunnels and bridge plate)

Heres some pics of dings. there are 4 on the back, 2 on front, 1 pin-head size on the bottom edge by control plate. all of them are about 1-2mm. the worst is a chip on the back 2-3mm. I did my best to show everything i could.

All in all the body is in great shape, dings/dents are normal wear'n tear from normal use. I used this bass for about 3years, its not a new body, so normal amount to wear can be expected. No abuse or drops etc.

Hope these help, I only have the cam on my phone, I tried to take the pic with a reflection to show any depth, and I tried to use markers to show size location.


PS> Someone should offer a sticky on "how to photo stuff for selling". Some TBers take great pics for their stuff. I know I could use it!

I wish I would've taken the time to prep and photo this bass before I got my new pickups and pre. A Trade would have been helpful! At the moment I can't think of anything Im looking for. Hmmm. Trade value will be a little higher, lets say 350.

Maybe a couple of sets of DB strings new or light use (sonores, Dominants reg or solo sets, make offers with what you have Im in a transition period with strings)

New SS sets of Fodera/DR/Circle K/Sit/Labella 6 str sets, DR fat/hi beam 4 str sets… maybe a combo of both DB BG.

maybe effects, POGII, MIDI pickup/controller unit… maybe a complete set of the MXR bass series pedals:woot:


Hmm it gets like christmas when you start thinking of "what do i want"

Pedals..I got a mojo hand 443 envelope filter and a black sheep outlaw bass overdrive... Possibly my mxr bass auto q..also, I really don't need the gotoh bridge if that would make some difference..

WOW!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE the color!!!!! Thats a pretty bass!! wonder what it would look like with one of the tortoise's that are much more red in color????

Yeah it's sweet. I tried a lot of sample PG colors. (using a drawing program, i matched up different pickguards to the body color.) IMO, I thought the red tort clashed a little with the gold tone. Ultimately my original 70s tort PG was my favorite, but couldn't find one at the time, and went with the brown tort. A solid Ebony unlined fretless neck would be nice too.
