I have two 5ers, and for whatever reason I get along better with my 35" scale BTB than my 34" Bongo, even though I really dig the flexibility of tone, the action, and how nice it is to have a well-rounded body. And the Sky Blue color (oh my, the color...).
I think it was Sting that said "If you love somebongo, set them free."
This HH 5-string bass is immaculate. Not even the headstock "tip chip". I would have to weigh it but it doesn't feel particularly heavy.
I'm looking for an interesting, multi-pickup 4-string--HH, HS, SSS, etc. I have a Jazz and a P/J. Don't need another. I have a few fretless basses. Don't need more. I also have a BIG preference for satin-finish necks. Not a show-stopper, but it will have to really light my fire in all other ways if the neck is glossy.
I'm thinking Warwick $$, Rickenbacker, Big Al, Stingray HH, maybe even a hollowbody ... hit me up, let's talk.
Cash can go either way.
Oh, here's a horrible pic for your enjoyment. I'll be happy to post up more if there's interest.
CONUS please.
