Up for grabs is a Peavey GV in the black holoflake finish that is in good condition with the exception of the headstock. Please read below!

I actually had this for sale a couple of months ago. In the original thread I stated that the headstock bends slightly inward. I'm not really for sure why it was like that as I purchased the bass from a local guitar shop and they didn't know why it was like that either. I intended to get it repaired but never had the time (or money) to do so. Once I put the bass up for sale, it was purchased by a gentleman here on Talkbass. At the time, I did not have very detailed pictures of the headstock and once the buyer received the bass, they were unhappy with the condition of the headstock. The buyer looked into getting the neck repaired and found a couple of options that would cost approximately anywhere between $168 - $300. I told the buyer I would pay for the repairs, as it was my fault for not having detailed pictures and information on the headstock, but we ultimately decided for the buyer to return the bass to me for a refund. Please be sure to look at the pictures below of the headstock!

Weight is approximately 10.25 lbs and it also includes a Peavey HSC.

Due to the possible repair costs, I figured I would sell this for $400 OBO. These normally seem to go for $600 or more from what I've seen on here in the past.

The headstock hasn't broken off. The damage is only on the front of the headstock.

Again, I'm not really for sure what happened to it exactly. The only thing I can think of is that the previous owner may have bumped it into something.

Here's a pic of the back of the headstock:

Graphite necks are amazing. The fact that a minor finish crack is making this bass so cheap is insane! It stays in tune and isn't split through, so it's structurally sound.
A USA made, graphite necked bass for $400 is absurdly low. If I played 35" scale, I'd buy this in a HEARTBEAT, play the crap out of it and look back laughing at all of the people who missed out on something so cool for such a killer deal...

What I'm trying to say is, GLWTS!!!

It's pretty simple. Looks like the strings rubbed against the clearcoat for years because of the retainer design. I've seen this before. I really think this is just "paint chipping". I don't see any structural damage.

I would be willing to part this out due to the headstock. If there's any interest, just let me know!

Oh man, have patience. Someone will snatch this up for a measly $400. What a good deal. so what about the "cosmetic" headstock issue. It ain't like they're paying full price or in mint condition. If I didn't have 3 5ers already, I'd buy it!

You got a point there. Guess I just need to be a little more patient!

I'm crazy in love with that thing, and I don't like 5ers lol.

I as well don't see a huge issue with the headstock...if that crack isn't deep into the "wood" and isn't getting bigger. Then YOLO!

Looks like it's shedding some of the clearcoat but that's about it. FWIW, I just checked my Millennium 5 and the headstock has the same exact amount of forward flex.
