I will, of course, ship to Canada and the rest of the world but the buyer must cover all shipping and customs fees. This beautiful instrument is in excellent playing and cosmetic condition. Serial number 861 born on date is 10/9/13. Crafted by Stuart Spector and his small crew of masters craftsmen. This NS-2 features some very special features. Dual EMG jazz pickups help to make this one a growly tone monster. The heart of the Spector sound is also here, the Spector US 9 volt circuit. More commonly known as the HAZ circuit. In my humble opinion, the necks on the US made neck through basses had been getting very thick and club/ baseball bat like. Maybe it's fairer to say that they were lacking consistency. These are hand built instruments. They don't get churned out identically by a machine. I'm getting carried away. I said all that to note that this was a concern for me. I asked for this neck to be made more like the Kramer era Spectors. That is to say, a thinner neck front to back, and a more uniform thickness from the 1st fret up the 24th. They delivered! The neck is the normal Spector width, but the front to back thickness is thinner. The profile is a super comfortable D shape. If you love thick beefy necks, then this might not be the bass for you. Also different on this bass is the use, at my request, of the Leo Quan bridge. The Badass bridge was used in the early days of Spector in Brooklyn. Even before the move to Neptune, NJ the bridge had been replaced by the famous Spector locking bridge. It's my thought and it's shared by a few Spector lovers, that the Quan bridge delivers a more organic, less strident sound. I will just throw it out there that the Vice President of Spector uses the Badass on his personal instrument, the Brooklyn built number 603. The dual J pickups give you are tighter more focused version of the classic Spector growl. Zero issues. All systems are fully functional. Condition 9 out of 10. I'm subtracting the one for a small shiny spot between the two pickups. It's one of those things where you have get within 6 inches and turn the bass in a certain way and squint one eye to even see it. Also noteworthy are the gorgeous Abalone inlays. I've seen a lot of Spectors and these are stunning. I wish I could capture the beauty in a picture. Other features, borrowed from the Spector site.
