On the block today is my well-loved, well-gigged 2001 Modulus Quantum 5. Great overall shape, with some minor scratches that do nothing to detract from the overall aesthetic of the bass. Scratches have been photographed and included below. I wouldn't let her go, except that I'm looking for a 5 with wider string spacing.
Features include:
* 17mm spacing, 35" scale, trussrod (& trussrod tool), and that thunderous yet even-sounding Modulus Low B
* Seymour Duncan NYC pickups and an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp
* Ebony ramp, adheres with double-sided tape and easily removable
* Ships in OHC with fresh D'Addario nickles installed
Asking $2000 for an outright sale + $60 for shipping in the continental US.
I would consider trades +/- cash for the "right" five string: one with a bolt-on neck, 18mm to 19mm spacing, and 34-inch or a "comfy 35-inch" scale (ala Roscoe). Roscoe, Elrick & FBass come to mind.
