I am considering trading my beloved StingRay 5. It has been my go to for at least 10 years, IIRC. This bass has traveled with me all over the country on hundreds of road dates, studio sessions, etc. It is a good one, and many basses have come and gone since I got this one. That said, I think it is time to test the waters for a trade.

Rosewood board, no matching headstock. Comes with hardshell case. Plays superb, and has the growl that youd expect from a StingRay5. Tort guard, and Autumn Redburst finish. I wont say its rare, but most of time this finish has a white pickup cover, which I dont really dig. This is one of a couple that Ive seen with a black cover on the pickup. The bass is in very good shape for the mileage its had put on it. There is some player wear, but the only things I could really get pics of would be the ding in the clear coat on top of the upper bout, and a scratch on the back of the neck, that you can see, but can barely feel. Bothe are shown below. There is some light belt wear, but its not through the clear coat, and was impossible for me to get a pic of.

As far as trades, Id be interested mostly in 5 strings. Sterling 5, Bongo 5, Big Al 5, Classic SR5. Also would consider Fender type J or P 5s. Would consider any of the above as a 4, if it really moved me.

Too bad a Carvin SB5000 isn't on your list, I've been looking for a Stingray like yours for quite a while. Good luck!
