This is an amazing active 5-string 70's jazz. The preamp is to me a better execution of the much-loved Sadowsky pre. 3 bands of boost-only eq, incredibly transparent. You can get anything from vintage passive 70's to full-on Marcus tones, and everything between. This bass feels SO solid and effortlessly responsive when you play it.

Don't let the weight scare you off... These basses are exquisitely balanced. It feels a bit heavy until you put it on, and then it just feels perfect.
