Trade feeler for a decent fretless 5 string...

In return I have my lovely archtop...
Walnut top
Maple back and sides
Walnut neck
Padouk or possibly Mahogany fretboard ( don't know the original builder on it)
The head stock is amazing carved but I'm not sure from what...

It currently has K&K transducers and an endpin in it with tapewound strings...if you're looking for a bass that sounds like an upright...this it it! It has a few scratches, nothing major. But I'll take detail pics over the weekend. In the meantime...hers a sound sample!

Hi gang! Posted some additional detail pics. There's about 3 tiny dings and a little bit of scratching under the lower bout which all but disappear with lemon oil. The lines on the fretboard a drew in lightly and can be easily wiped off before trade or sale. Some additional specs for you guys:

34 in scale
1 5/8 width at the nut
3/4in string spacing at the bridge
bridge appears to be bone
with the arch the depth of the bass ranges from 3 1/2 at the edges to 4 1/2 inchs at top height of the arch (top and back )

It doesn't have a case - but I'll back it as bullet proof as it came to me...if I keep it I'm thinking a soft 1/4 upright bass case will fit it...

More info...There's an opening at the headstock where you'd anticipate a truss rod, and there is what appears to be a rod you'd turn. However, there doesn't be enough turning radius to accommodate adjustment. That being said, I've had zero problems with the neck! And I keep the bass in AC so I've been able to minimize some of the seasonal changes. The bridge is held down by string pressure so intonation by a luthier can easily be done. And, I'd ship it with more bubble wrap peanuts and double boxing than you can imagine. 3-4in of bubble wrap peanuts and double boxing around the entire instrument...
