It has a simple design, but powerful and very musical tonal shaping options. It's essentially a notch filter, where you can select the shape (Q) and the frequency of the cut.
It was also upgraded with a 9 volt power input (for Boss style plugs, like One Spot), which imo is a huge practical factor, as I don't like relying on batteries
