Details

I've decided to unload my SB4000. I'm the original and sole owner, I got the bass in December 2010. It's in very nice condition, no obvious flaws or damage, apart from a very minor ding on the tip of the headstock. The case has some typical scuffing, but is in good condition. Comes with keys for the case and the allen wrenches for adjustment from the factory. It's been used for practice and recording a lot, but never gigged.

Specs:

Alder body - Classic Burst (3 tone, gloss)
Maple neck - one piece, tung oiled
Birdseye maple board/headstock
Stainless Regular frets
Black dot fret markers
Black/White/Black pickguard
Black hardware
Schaller strap lock buttons
Hipshot detuner
J99A pickups
Active/Passive 18v preamp (Vol - Vol - Passive Tone/Bypass - Hi/Low)
Black tolex hardshell case

EDIT: Some people asked about weight. It's about 9.5-9.75 lbs, most accurate reading I can get from my digital bathroom scale.

Asking $700 Shipped/insured via PayPal.

Ding on the headstock (I think it would probably just rub off with a little mineral spirits or something):

Thanks for the bumps fellas, much appreciated. I'd like to keep it, but I had saved up for a Carvin PB and then had to spend all the savings (and then some) on a root canal and two crowns last month. So I've got to sell this and a couple other non music gear items for fundraising.

I added the weight (as accurate as I'm able to get), since someone pm'd to ask about it.

Keep the bass! Get it done in Mexico! I just recently got 3 root canals and crowns done there for about $1300.

Already done and paid for, but it was money well spent anyway. Plus the dentist really lit a fire under me to take care of my teeth better. So now I'm actually flossing twice a day lol.

These may be of limited use, but I figured I would post some quick and dirty demo tracks I've made with this bass in the past. Most of these are simple tone demos for amps/pedals/cabs and you can hear the bass clean and with effects, though I tend to play with a little preamp dirt even when I'm playing "clean". They showcase what I would consider the "default" sound of the bass. Since it's got two pickups and an active preamp it can be stretched to a lot of different sounds, but this shows off that general both pickups and tone up full "jazz growl" sound.

Sounds awesome, traditional maple jazz with the mid scoop & aggressive high end & thus big lows
