1973 Gibson SB-450 bass in great condition. Light weight alder body with maple neck and rosewood fret board, warm, thick sound from Gibson humbuckers. Tone is brighter and punchier than what you get from the Gibson EB series basses. These basses aren't found very often. Originally marketed as a less expensive bass from Gibson they are high quality tone machines. Everything you'd expect from an early 70s era Gibson instrument. I had the neck reset at Portland Fretworks about a year ago (common for a 40 year old instrument with glued on neck.) Bass has a direct replacement Hipshot Bridge on it but will also come with the original bridge and cover. Comes with hardshell case as well.
This is a real deal vintage instrument that plays and sounds amazing. Mojo, playbility, style, sound.
I'm hoping to get $800 plust $50 for packaging/shipping. I'm open to trades on this as well. Ideally want a P-bass sort of thing but I'm open minded to all classic, workhorse like 4 strings.
