Hmm. This interests me but I am not that familiar yet with the model. I think I have a fretless neck to fit this as well.

Even if you are not thrilled with the electronics, pickups and pre are easily upgradable, same size pickups as EMG 40s.

Yeah. I already also have a complete EMG set up, pickups and pre from a Euro LX to drop right in. Full set of gold hardware should I prefer that. Hmmm.

This is a flat body, no contour, correct? Same physical body size as the contoured body?

This body is contoured. I don't know how it compares to Euros, but I wouldn't describe it as flat.

In spite of being in my 50s, I am pretty new to bass (but not music). My teacher says I should get a 5 string and this is in my price range but
I am not familiar with Spectors. Can you give me an idea of what this bass sounds like? I currently have an Ibanez SR500, if that helps. If you are willing to meet, I am local (near Citrus and Baseline)
