i thought Genz closed their doors. who is honoring their warranty?

The Genz line, sadly, was discontinued by FMIC. FMIC continues to honor the warranty. In addition, TBer agedhorse, a former Genz engineer, has stated several times that he will continue to honor the warranty at his lab in California. Indeed, he repaired my Streamliner under warranty earlier this year. He also will service out of warranty Genz gear.

I was proud to do it.

I've got a 9.0. I've heard the 6.2 voicing is closer to that than the 6.0 voicing was. I'm very happy. I'd certainly consider this if I was in the market. I just plugged in my DI last night and it records nicely.

Yes, the 6.0 was a little light in the low end due to the limitations of the original shuttle cabs in the combos. The .2 cabs were improved and the 6.2 amp re-voiced with more booty. I've been playing without a rig, direct to the pa. The amp is in excellent condition and sounds great but I'm not using it.
