This has been my #1 for the past 4+ years, but it's time to find it a new home. This is a 2008 Fender American Standard Jazz V. Alder body, maple neck and fretboard. It is completely stock with the exception of the black pickguard (I don't have the original white one) and Schaller strap locks that were added. It has that great "Jazz" tone that works in pretty much every genre you can think of, smooth you want it, aggressive when you dig in. The B-string is excellent on this one, as good as, or better than, any 34" scale 5er under $2K I've played. Weighs in at 9.4 lbs. It comes with the older, pre-2008 Fender hardshell case. It is currently strung with a set of La Bella Stainless, aka Hard Rockin' Steels, in a custom gauge I ordered from BSO (45-60-80-105-128T). For some reason, the B-string came with black silk while all the others have no silk.
It has some minor wear and tear from being used extensively as my main bass the last few years, but nothing major or visible from a distance. I tried to show the worst "dings" in the pics, but you have to catch them in the right light because they don't go through the paint. I am asking $950 shipped, PayPal ok. Not really interested in trades at the moment, I will update if that changes.
