BC Rich ST (Platinum Series)
This BC Rich ST was a project bass purchased on ebay in 2008 and completed in 2009. Several issues were evident at the time of purchase so it was shipped to Tennessee where it was completely refurbished and restored at Cyclonic Guitars.
What's original and what's aftermarket: the body, the neck, neck plate, rear cavity cover, headstock logo, and Gotoh tuners are all original. The bass came out of the factory in the late 80's/early 90's as hot pink but was later painted black by somebody prior to me purchasing it. When I bought it off eBay it was a basket case but was willing to bring it back from the dead, the body had a crack a couple millimeters deep on the front but was repaired and sealed with a marine opxy at the time of restoration and has not re-opened since.
There are several pictures of the restoration process. The new paint job is a granite-look, paint was removed from the back of the neck then oiled (no clear coat and no polyurethane). New frets dressed and leveled, rear cavity sanded and lined with copper. New pots and input jack, new Bartolini p/j pick ups, Badass II bridge, Hipshot knobs, black shaller strap locks, black pick up screws and neck bolts added as well.
Weighs 8.6 on the digital bathroom scale and its seen the stage twice during my ownership, been well cared for. Asking $400 --- price drop $300 - will only ship with HSC to CONUS and trades will be considered.
