I mean, not designed for a musical instrument, furthemore bass, which requires lots of headroom.

Correct, eub. But it does work very well for gigs where high output is not required, such as coffeehouse or restaurant duo or trio situations. That's what I (and others on this forum) have used them for. Interesting, I read once that a "musical instrument" replacement drop in board was going to be available for this series, but I suppose Flying Mole went out of business before it could be marketed in the US. It may have been available in Japan.
