I just played this bass... and it is the real deal. Fast thin neck profile, zero fret, string through, very solid build. Great value with these Kinal basses!!

Thanks for the kind words Chris.
The build quality of this bass is amazing, great bass for the price.
If it doesn't sell I might try Fodera'izing the electronics with a Pope pre and ? pickups.
Just to try something different, as I have other basses with the Bartolini sound.

How would you describe "the Bartolini sound"? I have limited experience, but they seem to be not particularly aggressive sounding. And what do the knobs and switches do? Thanks!

The Bartolini sound to me is full and well rounded.
Many tones for this bass, the switches are mid frequency switches, pre amp on and off and pick up series/ parallel switch.
There is also a gain dial on the circuit board.

Kinal basses are wonderful. I just got one last month and can say without a doubt the most bang for the buck I've ever experienced on a bass purchase.
