Selling my Upton to upgrade. I wanted to keep both but I can't. Other needs in the wings are forcing me to part with this one. See the link below for specifics.
This is one loud, growling, beast. Lots of warm mwah tone with a set of Spirocore mediums. It is currently sporting and old set but I'm trying to refrain from testing a set of Obligatos on it. The shoulders on this bass are trimmed down a bit from the original Professor measurements. It's actually closer to the Brescian and allows for easy access to the upper register.
Also, I had it set-up and refined a bit by Mike Shank and it plays beautifully. A wonderful jazz and blues bass that bows very well even with the Spirocores on it. Could easily perform well in an orchestra with different strings.
42" String Length
45" Back
19.25" Upper Bout
26.75" Lower Bout
8.5" Depth
D Neck
Was: $4250
Now: $4000
