I picked this up second hand from Scott himself who was asked to sell it from Jake (his right hand man for many years). There is a special engraving to Jake on the back of the headstock and then some extra mojo for me.

On the back of the body there are 2 sets of 4 inlaid stones that I picked out and sent to Scott and asked him to inlay them as he sees fit. Unfortunately this Bass is not seeing much action these days and can't justify her sitting still, as she is WAY to good of a player than that. Birdsong's are workhorses and this one is super fun to play and sounds amazing!! That Lace humbucker has some serious bite.

That thumb rest is very interesting. I really like the design. It seems very intuitive to me. Is that original?

It is original, you know Scott over there, he will figure anything out! I believe this was Jake's idea and yes very intuitive.

Thanks for that. I'm a 5 guy or I would be getting serious about this thing. It's a looker with lots of interesting features.

i cannot even begin to describe how much i want this bass....v neck! short scale! i have heard alot about these...

if only my children didnt suck up all of my money (well, to be fair, i had them, and not even remotely complaining)...

man, any off i could make that did not involve a quick liquor store robbery would be an insult to you and that magnificent bass...much to my chagrin....

Yeah I have been playing her for a bit this weekend with my new rig:
MAS 4/6 + 2/6 and she is still super fun and comfy. When she goes she goes.
