For sale: According to the "scroll bass" brain trust on TB this started out as a late 1967 AEB-1 hybrid w/ AMB-1 parts transitional model.

The good:
Here's an opportunity to own a great playing and sounding cool vintage with major stage presence. This is the PUNCHIEST bass you will ever play. Cutting thru the mix will never be an issue again. The SD jazz pickups are a perfect match and deliver a very throaty, clear piano like tone w/ round wounds and super round and bouncy w/ flats. And although modified, is a perfectly viable player as is. Or, if you are the industrious type, an opportunity to bring this classic back to original. The neck is straight and the frets are in great shape. Currently sporting TI flats. Weighs in at about 9 lbs.

The bad:
Unfortunately it's no longer original. The rattle can white refine is passable but not factory. No case.

The ugly:
The replacement of the problematic "mystery" pickup is an often seen mod. And while it looks ugly under the pick guard it's rock solid and is completely hidden after all components are installed. The Bad Ass bridge offers full adjustments. One pickup mount is exposed inside the top F hole [can only be seen at certain angles] but could easily be addressed during a respray.

Price is $575.00, includes shipping [in CONUS only] and paypal. There is no case so I was planning on shipping the neck and body separately.

Thanks for looking!

So both pickups are all on, all the time?
in other words, no pup selector?

How Cool! I used to have the "Devil Bass" version of the Scroll bass. The "Mystery Pup" was horrible. I'll bet this sounds Pretty Good...
