For sale is a very interesting Mustang Bass.
Firstly, it is in great shape. All electronics, mechanics, neck and every thing else 100%. It's very playable up to the last fret, and has a perfect woody thump tone. I am over-inventoried, and I have to let it go.
BUT, the bass is not without some super-cool, but un-colectabile issues.
They are as follows:
1.) Former long-time owner put his own serial number on body, neck, and neck plate.
2.) Former owner also hand-pained woodgrain over the green body (and racing stripe--see pic.). Old paint is still under there though.
3.) Former owner drilled head strap button all the way through the headstock (see pic).
All of this makes for a super-vibey bass that's--at this point--a one-of-a-kind.
It comes with a modern Fender Mustang Bass case, and a home-made headstock-matching (!) strap. Amazing.
$1,250 shipped (US-48).
No trades. Thank you!
