**$800 SHIPPED**

Hey All,

The last sale ended up not going through, so I've put my Icon up for sale again, this time knocking $100 off of the original price, and this is a monster bass for the money!

While this bass sounds and looks on-point, I just can't get my hands comfortable with the 34" scale and 16.5" string spacing, AND I have to fund another purchase. I've recently gotten into wider-spaced, 35" scale basses, and this bass feels too small for me at this point. Before, I really wanted to see what the Icons were all about. This one sounds crystal clear, especially up top, and gets just about any tone, with a really good low-B for a 34". It's a very easy-playing bass, but "too" easy for me, if that makes any sense. :p This is probably the prettiest bass I've ever owned, and is rock solid...Carvin has come a LONG way. I did a setup on it, like I do on all of my basses, as I like my action pretty darned low. The really cool thing, is that I didn't have to touch the trussrod at all. I only lowered the bridge saddles, and then raised the pickups a bit. There's a trim pot in the cavity, which I turned up, and this bass roars now. For example, playing the bassline to Duran Duran's tune, Rio, is a total blast since the spacing and neck aren't large. The neck profile on the 6's is the best of both worlds with Carvin, in my opinion, as I think it is actually easier to get around on compared to the 5's. Their 5's narrow necks are too chunky (old Warwick-like), and the asymmetrical 5 is too fat as well. I put Dunlop Straplocks on, since I forgot about them when I bought the thing (duhhhhh) and I always buy chrome ones. I doesn't really matter to me if they're gold, since you don't really see them while playing (my strap's buttons are black). I also put on a brand-new set of Elixirs, and installed two fresh Duracell 9V's. Two sets of extra strings will be included, too. The first is a used set of D'Addario XL's (still plenty of life), and a new set of Carvin (LaBella) strings. I'll throw in an old leather Fender strap, too (already has straplocks on it). One of the up-close pics shows the original Carvin stock strings, just in case you're wondering. Lastly, I don't think Carvin offers the tweed case for basses anymore, so mine might be a rarity now. The case has a few light marks and snags, but otherwise is in phenomenal shape. The only "wear" is that some of the gold has come off of the concentric knobs, and that's it. I take very good care of my gear, and this instrument would be one very sweet Christmas gift.

ALSO INCLUDED with this sale is a used MXR Blow Torch, complete with an 18-volt adaptor. I hardly ever used it, after I bought it used from GC. It's a beast, but for me it just collects dust.

Any other questions, feel free to reply here or in a PM!

Okay, so the first pic is in normal lighting, and the rest in brighter lighting, to give you an idea of how the ruby stain shifts from a rich red to a reddish-orange.

Also, the vid below is from one of TWO shows where I used this bass.
