Up for sale is the Sonuus I2M Musicport MIDI converter and USB interface. This little pocket-sized box plugs into your computer with a USB cable, and provides a 1/4" Hi-Z input for your bass, guitar, and allegedly even a mic for voice or other instruments.

The deal is that you can play your analog instrument, and it will produce monophonic MIDI data, which you can then feed into your software synth or DAW or GarageBand or whatever else. This is a newer version that combines the functionality of the older B2M and G2M, and has a button that cycles through guitar/4-string/5-string/wind input. It also works as a standard USB interface for analog-to-digital, if you want to record audio into Amplitube or whatnot.

Here's the manufacturer page: http://www.sonuus.com/products_i2m_mp.html

There was also a thread about it here: http://www.talkbass.com/threads/sonuus-i2m-guitar-bass-audio-to-midi-converter.1100641/

I'll be honest and say this thing is a mixed bag, and really depends on your technique (of which mine sucks.) It also supposedly works much better with a guitar or in higher registers. It can track the low E on my four-string, but it takes practice (or skill) to get it to track precisely. It was fun to run this into GarageBand and start playing Christmas carols on a vibraphone, but it's otherwise been sitting unused.

Includes the I2M and MIDI cable only - I don't have packaging, software, or the one-page manual that came with it, but you can get docs and software from the Sonuus site. (For what it's worth, on OSX, I didn't have to install anything.)

These street for a hundred bucks, but I'll let it go for $50. That includes shipping to the lower 48. I'd like to keep it CONUS and paypal if possible.

Thanks,
Jon
